- Registered Midwife Sister, with 30 years experience in a major training hospital and received the GOLD MEDAL FOR MIDWIFERY in the Coombe Hospital
- Possessing particular expertise in midwifery practice, staff education and management
- Doreen presented the RTE’s series "Baby on Board"
- Doreen is also a former contributor to "Your new baby" magazine
- Submitted articles for the Irish Independent health supplement, Irish Examiner, The Irish Times, The RTE Guide and Parenting Today Magazine
- Contributed to VHI website
- Guest on RTE’s "The Afternoon Show" and TV3’s "Ireland AM"
- Teaches for Irish nurses organization on becoming a Parentcraft education teacher for midwifes and public health nurses
- Doreen is also qualified in neonatology (specilaised care of premature babies), and is qualified in yoga and belives the above qualifications benefits pregnant women attending her courses
- Doreen believes in continued personal and professional development and attends workshops on the subject of antenatal education on a regular basis in Ireland and U.K.
